Your own landscape photos
Trip photos, a sunrise from elk camp, the view from a trailhead: if it made you stop and take the picture, it's probably worth printing. Landscapes look best big, so start at 16×20 and go up if your file allows.
Getting a sharp big print
Landscapes show softness more than portraits, because your eye goes looking for detail in rocks and trees. Use the original file, avoid digitally zoomed shots, and if you shot on a camera, upload the full-size JPEG. Panoramas can be printed at custom sizes; request a quote.
Gloss or matte?
Gloss gives the most color and contrast, great for sunsets and red rock. Matte is calmer and better in a bright room with windows across from the print.
