Why print on aluminum?

A metal print isn't a paper photo glued to a panel. With dye-sublimation, heat and pressure turn the ink into a gas that bonds into the coating on a specially made aluminum sheet. The image ends up in the surface, not sitting on top of it.

That gives you three practical things: color with real depth (gloss especially looks lit from behind), a surface you can wipe clean with a soft damp cloth, and a panel that doesn't need glass or a heavy frame. It's light enough to hang easily and tough enough for a kitchen, a shop office or a kid's room.

The catch: metal shows everything in your file, good and bad. That's why we check resolution when you upload, and why Trevor looks at every photo before it goes on the press.
